WWE RAW Report from 26th August 2024

The Judgment Day kick off Raw

They address the beat down of the Terror Twins last week, the mixed tag match at Bash In Berlin and Dom enters the Intercontinental Championship tournament. LWO interrupt, Rey and Dom go back and forth, LWO and Judgment Day brawl. LWO stand tall.

 

The Judgment Day vs LWO

With Rey Mysterio on the offensive he set Dominik up for the 619, Rey connected, then went to the top rope for the splash to end the match but Liv Morgan pulled Dominik out of the way just before Rey landed. With Rey in a daze Dom rolled him up for the 123. Giving The Judgment Day the win.

Winners: The Judgment Day

After the match Judgement Day attack LWO, they set Rey Mysterio up on the announce table for Dom to splash him through but Rhea Ripley’s music hits and a brawl breaks out between the terror twins and judgment day. Balor, Dom and Liv retreat leaving McDonagh and Carlito defenceless against Priest and Ripley. Ripley hits riptide on McDonagh and Priest hits south of heaven on Carlito.

 

Damage Ctrl vs Pure Fusion Collective

Zoey Stark hit Kairi Sane with a missile drop kick off the tag from Shayna Baszler. Stark went for a cover which Sky broke up. Baszler tried to take out Sky but reversed it sending Baszler  to the outside. Stark hit Sky with a superkick then superkicked Sane as well. Stark positioned Sane on the top rope they traded blows to the mid section to gain the upper hand. Meanwhile on the outside Sonya Deville was taken out by a returning Zelina Vega. Back on the top rope Sane had got the advantage and head butted Stark off the top rope landing in the ring. Sky stopped Baszler getting involved by drop kicking her off the apron back to the floor. Sky then joined Sane on the top rope where simultaneously Sky hit Baszler with an over the moonsault and Sane hit Stark with the insane elbow to get the win.

Drew McIntyre and CM Punk Segment

McIntyre explained CM Punk is scared of him and that’s the reason Punk always attacks him from behind and said it’s the fans’ fault what happens to Punk on Saturday in the strap match. Punk’s music hits and McIntyre prepares for Punk by looking down the ramp, however Punk comes out from under the ring and whips McIntyre in the back with a strap. After a couple more whips on McIntyre, Punk attempts to get the bracket off McIntyre. McIntyre rolls to the outside and hits Punk with the Glasgow kiss to get the advantage, he sends Punk into the steel steps then announce table, he gets hold of the strap he looks at it for a few seconds goes to hit Punk with it but Punk reverses sending him onto the announce table and Punk once again starts whipping McIntyre multiple times with the strap until security gets Punk off McIntyre. McIntyre leaves through the crowd and Punk takes out a number of the security team. They stare each other down.

 

Jey Uso vs Karrion Kross vs Kofi Kingston:

Intercontinental championship Tournament Triple Threat

Kingston has the upper hand over Kross, he goes for a springboard manoeuvre but Kross gets out of the way, both guys come off the opposite ropes and Kross hits a back elbow on Kingston, meanwhile Jey heads to the top rope he jumps towards Kross, Kross ducks underneath, Jey lands on his feet, hits the ropes and spears Kross. Jey hits the Uso splash for the 123. Jey advances into the fatal four way finals to become the number 1 contender for the Intercontinental championship.

Winner: Jey Uso

 

Randy Orton Segment

Orton talked about his legacy and past championships wins as well as how he grew up in front of the fans. He explained how happy he was when the world heavyweight championship was brought back while he was at home recovering from injury. He made a promise to himself to win the world heavyweight championship and have his name engraved on it once again because it’s a special championship to him because the world title was the first world championship he won. He said he’s going to beat Gunther on Saturday and will do it by using the three most dangerous letters in WWE RKO.

 

Braun Strowman vs “Big” Bronson Reed

Bronson Reed went up to the top rope to set up for the tsunami, however, Strowman quickly got up and gorilla press slammed Reed off the top rope. Strowmam hit a clothesline and a big boot to send Reed into the corner, where he then hit a corner splash and set up Reed for a powerslam. Reed escaped and left the ring standing on the apron. Strowman went for a chokeslam, Reed reverse by raking the eyes then hung Strowman off the top rope sending him back. Reed then walked off to leave the match. Strowman followed him in quick pursuit clotheslining him from behind. Reed sent Strowman into the digital board then splashed him against it too. Both men were counted out.

Winner: Braun Strowman vs Bronson Reed ends a no contest

They continue to brawl into the backstage area then into the parking lot. Reed gets choke slammed onto the bonnet or hud of a car. The bawl continues. Reed hits Strowman with a lead pipe multiple times and hits the tsunami  on Strowman on the roof of the car.

 

Pete Dunne vs The Miz vs Xavier Woods:

Intercontinental championship tournament triple threat match

Miz hit the skull crushing finale on Woods. Dunne threw Miz off Woods to the outside and went for the cover, Miz pulled Dunne off Woods to break it up. Dunne put Miz in a cross face. While in the submission Miz put his free arm over Woods for a cover. Woods kicked out at 2. Miz used the momentum of the kick out to roll over but Dunne rolled through still having the submission applied. Woods kicked Dunne in the face to break the submission then he kicked Miz for good measure. Woods hits the living break elbow on Miz and goes for the cover. Dunne pulled the referee out the ring at 2. Dunne went back in the ring kicked Woods to the outside of the ring, hit Miz with the bitter end to get the 123 and advance to the fatal four way final.

Winner: Pete Dunne

Uncle Howdy vs Chad Gable

Howdy has the upper hand over Gable and the crowd is in the palm of his hand. He sets up for sister abigail but Ivy Nile distracts the referee giving Gable times to reverse it into an ankle lock. Howdy reverses but Gable inadvertently takes out the referee. Howdy puts the mandible claw on Gable but American Made break it up and beat down Howdy. The Wyatt Sick6 make the save. Gable puts Howdy back in the ring, goes for the moonsault, Howdy evades then sets up and hits sister abigail on Gable for the win.

Winner: Uncle Howdy
