WWE SMACKDOWN Report from 6th September 2024

Cody Rhodes and Solo Sikoa w/ Bloodline Segment

Cody Rhodes addresses his match at Bash In Berlin. He knows he’ll be interrupted so he gives someone the chance to interrupt him but he especially invites The Bloodline to interrupt. Solo Sikoa’s music hits, The Bloodline make there way to the ring, Solo tells the other members of The Bloodline to wait at the bottom of the ramp, Solo gets in the ring with Cody. Cody sets out a challenge to a member of The Bloodline but he doesn’t mean Solo he means Jacob Fatu. Fatu gets on the apron, Solo tells him to get down and fall in line, Fatu seems to hesitate before telling Solo he loves him and steps off the apron and back into line with Tonga and Loa. Solo and Cody agree to face eachother next week on Smackdown. Solo signals The Bloodline into the ring they face off with Cody, Street Profits and DIY come to Cody’s aid. Nick Aldis interrupts the stand off; says they’re not fighting now and that the match between Cody and Solo next week will be contested inside a steel cage.

 

Bayley vs Tiffany Stratton

Tiffany Stratton has control of the match on the outside of the ring. She attempts to whip Bayley into the post but Bayley reverses it sending Stratton into the post instead. Stratton gets up onto the apron but Bayley rolls her onto her stomach, drags her feet on the apron and hits a suplex to the floor. Bayley puts Stratton back in the ring, Stratton gets back to her feet but Bayley starts to build momentum with two clotheslines and a sideslam, coming off the ropes Bayley connects with a knee to the face goes for the cover but Stratton kicks out at 2. Both women get back to their feet as Nia Jax makes her way to ringside. Stratton escapes a bayley to belly and replies with a Alabama slam for a 2 count. Bayley regains the advantage and does a suicide dive to the outside on Jax, as Bayley gets back in the ring Stratton rolls her up but Jax is distracting the referee which seems to cost Stratton the match as Bayley kicks out at 2. Bayley then hits Stratton with roseplant for the victory

Winner: Bayley

 

Giovanni Vinci vs Apollo Crews

Giovanni Vinci takes too long taking his entrance attire off, the referee asks if he’s ready to start the match, Vinci ignored him several times so the ref calls for the bell. Apollo Crews goes for a crucifix slam into pinning position combination and gets the win.

Winner: Apollo Crews

 

Kevin Owens vs Grayson Waller vs Austin Theory

Austin Theory and Grayson Waller have the upper hand they place Kevin Owens on the top rope and attempt to superplex him but he reverses, he bangs Wallers and Theory’s heads together which knock them off the top. Waller rolls out of the ring, Theory goes back to the top, Owens hits a rolling senton then goes for a pin, Waller pulls Owens off Theory. Waller places Owens on the top rope again, Owens swiftly hits a fisherman’s buster on Waller, goes for the pin, Theory breaks it up. Theory sets up for a town down, Owens escapes, nearly pushes Theory into Waller, he ducks a clothesline, attempts a stunner Theory pushes him off, he takes Waller off the apron to the floor, Theory rolls him up, kick out, Owens hits the stunner, goes for the pin and the win. After the match Waller and Theory take out Owens.

Winner: Kevin Owens

 

LA Knight Segment

LA knights makes his entrance, he hits his catchphrase talks about defending the United States championship all over the globe from Washington, to Berlin, to North of the Border Canada. He knows there are guys out to get him as champ. Carmelo Hayes interrupts, he says after his two consecutive wins over Andrade he’s next in line for a shot at the US title, Andrade interrupts. Andrade says everyone remembers him beating Hayes twice and he deserves a title match. Knight says if they want to fight over who’s get to get dropped on the head by him that’s fine. Andrade tells Knight he was champion, he speaks Spanish to Knight, Knight tells him to check his tone. Things start getting heated, Hayes gets between Knight and Andrade, Andrade pushes Hayes into Knight, Andrade kicks Hayes in the face, Knight b.f.t’s Andrade then goes to leave as Hayes talks smack to Andrade, Knight then hits b.f.t on Hayes.

 

Chelsea Green w/ Piper Niven vs “Michin” Mia Yim

Chelsea Green and Mia Yim trade finisher attempts but each reverse, Yim sends Green to the outside, a suicide dive takes out Green, Yim returns Green to the ring, Yim faces off with Piper Niven causing the distraction so has Yim gets on the apron Green hits a step up enziguiri dropping Yim to the floor. Green distracts the referee which gives Niven the chance to hit a standing senton on Yim, Niven rolls Yim back into the ring, Green hits the unpretty-her and goes for the cover and gets the win.

Winner: Chelsea Green

 

The Bloodline vs Street Profits and DIY

The Street Profits and DIY have the advantage after a superplex on off the top rope to the floor takes everyone down. With Tommaso Ciampa in the ring, Montez Ford sends Tama Tonga into the ring then gets the tag from Ciampa, Ford hits a 450 splash on Tonga then goes for the pin. Jacob Fatu breaks up the pin with a senton, he sends Ford into the post, drags Tonga to The Bloodline corner of the ring, tags himself in, he superkicks Johnny Gargano, Samoan drops Ciampa, superkicks Angelo Dawkins, hits a corner splash on Ford followed up by a impaler ddt, he tags in Solo Sikoa who does two spikes to Ford and covers him, 123.

Winners: The Bloodline
