AEW Dynamite Report from 5th February 2025

Dynamite starts with Renee Paquette interviewing Jay White outside

Jay White:
He says he’s building a friendship with Adam Copeland (still not calling him “cope”) and FTR as the deal with the Deathriders he needs to rely on people he wouldn’t usually rely on.

The Deathriders appear but Adam Copeland and FTR have followed them.
They all start to brawl through the backstage area to the ringside, Deathriders get the upper hand but Copeland spear’s Claudio Castagnoli to end the brawl

Adam Copeland:
He wants an answer to his challenge to Jon Moxley for the AEW World Championship at Revolution.

Moxley says no.

Jay White:
He makes a challenge for Moxley and Castagnoli vs White and Copeland to a Brisbane Brawl match at Grand Slam.

The opponent is revealed to be Mark Davis

Mark Davis drops Will Ospreay with a piledriver, he makes the pin but only gets a 2 count. He then rips off a middle turnbuckle pad but as he goes to throw Ospreay into it the referee stops him, David argues with the referee as Ospreay goes for and connects with a hidden blade into the cover and gets the 1 2 3 for the win.

Winner: Will Ospreay

After the match Will Ospreay gets a mic and he brings out Kenny Omega.

Kenny Omega:
He offers help to Mark Davis to get him away from Don Callis, he talks about the tag match at Grand Slam.

MVP compliments Private Party and puts the locker room on notice then says the Hurt Syndicate is open for business and anyone who wants a shot they’ll accept any challenge.

The Gunns Return

The Gunns:
They don’t mean no disrespect and want to talk business with them.
They want there rematch for the tag team titles.

MVP:
He compliments them and kind of threatens them. He gives them a title shot next week.

Brody King does a cannonball as Buddy Matthews does a strike in the corner to Kyle Fletcher, King makes the cover but Konosuke Takeshita breaks it up. On the apron King applies a sleeper hold to Takeshita, Fletcher does a running kick to Matthews knocking him off the apron, Takeshita escapes then does a knee strike, Fletcher does a draping ddt back into the ring then goes for the cover but King kicks out. Fletcher and Takeshita hit double superkicks then do a double brainbuster to King into the cover and pick up the victory.

Winners: The Don Callis Family

MJF Segment

MJF:
He talks about teaching Jeff Jarrett a lesson, he insults Jarrett. He wants to target the AEW World Championship.

Max Caster like appears, ‘Hangman’ Adam Page comes out.
Hangman and MJF go face to face.

Dustin Rhodes interrupts

Dustin Rhodes:
He address MJF insulting legends and threatens him. He talks about his past demons. He states he’s better than MJF.

MJF:
He talks about living in the shadow of Dusty Rhodes and now Cody Rhodes.

Dustin and MJF have a pull apart brawl

Mariah May on commentary

Toni Storm is playing the role of Mariah May

Queen Aminata does a basement dropkick through the ropes to Mariah May (Toni Storm), she goes for the cover but May (Storm) kicks out at 2. Aminata sets up for an air raid crash but May (Storm) reverses it into a ddt, running knee sends Aminata into the corner then follows up with a hip attack, May (Storm) hits mayday into the cover and gets the win.

Winner: Mariah May (Toni Storm)

After the match Renee Paquette interviews Mariah May (Toni Storm) in the ring, she mocks the real Mariah May.

Chris Jericho’s New York Minute

He calls out Bandido, he makes a match between Bryan Keitch and Bandido. Powerhouse Hobbs comes and out brawls with Big Bill. The Outrunners get involved in the melee.

Swerve Strickland w/Prince Nana vs Ricochet

Swerve Strickland sends Ricochet on the apron but Ricochet hangs him on the top rope then does a German suplex on the apron, he returns Swerve to the ring does a springboard 450 splash into the cover but only gets a 2 count. He heads to the top and hits a shooting star press, makes the cover but again Swerve kicks out. He goes for spirit gun but Swerve hits a house call on the way through, he heads up top and attempts swerve stomp but Ricochet puts his hands up which catch Swerve below the belt, Ricochet hits the spirit gun into the cover and gets the 3 count for the win.
