We recap the events from last week of Mustafa Ali making Mike Santana take a drug test, and Santino announcing the Sacrifice 10-Man Tag will take place inside a Steel Cage.
#1: Eddie Edwards (w/Alisha Edwards) pinned Leon Slater in a Sacrifice Advantage Match with the Boston Knee Party (9:42)
We go to Sami Callihan in the back, who says people seem to have forgotten he’s the Death Machine. Sami says Mance Warner is lucky he gets one more night with his girl before Sami ends him at Sacrifice. Steph and Mance show up to taunt Sami knowing he can’t do anything or else he’s out of TNA. Steph pie faces Sami so Sami gets in Mance’s face. Mance tells Sami he’ll see him at Sacrifice, and Sami cuts the feed.
#2: Wes Lee (w/Tyson Dupont and Tyriek Igwe) pinned Laredo Kid with the Cardiac Kick (7:22)
The Rascalz and Ace Austin come out after the match. Trey tells Wes to note that they waited until Wes was done with his match, unlike how Wes and his boys jumped them. Ace reminds Wes that this is TNA and when you cross the line, you get dealt with. Wentz then says tomorrow at Sacrifice, they’ll finally close the chapter.
Spitfire goes up to Santino in the back upset about what happened with the Elegances last week and Santino says it wasn’t very nice. The Elegances come up and the 2 teams have to be separated. The Personal Concierge compares the Elegances’ treatment by Spitfire to Alcatraz. Santino says everybody can get their revenge and makes a 3-on-2 Handicap Match for Sacrifice for the tag titles. Ash and Heather ask who their partner will be and Santino says it’ll be The Personal Concierge! The Elegances aren’t happy at all and walk off.
#3: Xia Brookside def. Rosemary by DQ after Rosemary spit the Green Mist in her face (5:23)
We see a video of Steve Maclin journaling outside by a fire when Eric Young walks up and sits next to him. They grab a drink and Steve tells him as long as Eric is with the Northern Armory, they’re done. EY tells him it doesn’t have to end this way, but that Steve will need to choose when their paths inevitably meet. Steve says he still respects him, but walks off.
JDC comes out for his match against Cody Deaner. Deaner comes down to the ring and says while it’s good to be back in Orlando, he would’ve never believed he’d be back there. He says he has a great personal life now, with 4 beautiful children. A “he’s got kids” chant starts, and Deaner jokes that it’s somebody else’s gimmick. He says in his professional life, he used to not make good professional choices but once he gave it all to the fans, he started having more fun. JDC says the people don’t care about Deaner or his kids. JDC tells Deaner to walk away and take the loss like a man, and not to be a disappointment to his kids. JDC starts shoving Deaner, but Deaner says him leaving is the people’s choice. He asks the crowd if he should punch JDC in the face, and the crowd pops. Deaner strikes JDC a few times as the bell rings.
#4: JDC pinned Cody Deaner with a Falcon Arrow (1:56)
The NXT/TNA liaison Arianna Grace is at commentary for the next match.
#5: Tessa Blanchard and Cora Jade def. Masha Slamovich and Lei Ying Lee after Tessa hit Masha with Buzzsaw (8:46)
We go to a video earlier in the day where Tom Hannifan is moderating a summit between Mike Santana and Mustafa Ali. Ali shows up late with his Cabinet. Tom asks Ali what he hopes to accomplish during the summit. Ali claims to respect Santana as a competitor, but in order to achieve greatness in TNA they need a great leader. Ali says he can handle the pressure, and his concern is that Santana can’t. Santana says he’s lived under pressure his entire life. He’s dealt with the pressure since the day he walked into TNA, going through The System on his own, and making Josh Alexander say I-Quit at Genesis. Tom mentions no one has beaten Santana one-on-one in 6 months. Ali responds by saying Santana faces no real obstacles, and says real pressure happens when he meets failure. Ali says if Santana became World Champion, he’d be a liability to everyone. Ali then calls Santana an addict. Santana tells Ali everyone sees he’s here for himself, and everybody sees it. Santana then says he is an addict and he accepted that a long time ago. Today, he’s an addict for the people and for TNA. Santana goes on and says he’s shown it’s possible to hit the bottom and rise again. Ali laughs as Santana says at Sacrifice, Ali’s hands better cash those checks. Ali says there’s too much tension there, and everyone needs to calm down. Ali then takes a bottle of wine out from under the tables, and Santana throws his shades off. Ali tells Santana he will face adversity at Sacrifice, and then he’ll break. He tells Santana after he loses, he’ll start drinking again and subsequently let everybody down. Ali says Santana will break his daughter’s heart, and Santana snaps. He takes out The Good Hands and tells Tasha to get out the way, allowing Ali to get the cheap shot. They jump Santana before Ali leaves a glass of wine next to him for when he wakes up. They leave as Santana slowly gets up, fuming at the glass.
We see a clip of the Immersed episode featuring Joe Hendry defeating Nic Nemeth for the TNA World Championship.
Tom and Matthew go over the Sacrifice card.
Call Your Shot Gauntlet winner Frankie Kazarian joins commentary for the main event, but Tom is all smiles as he announces Frankie is facing Steve Maclin tomorrow at Sacrifice.
TNA World Champion Joe Hendry comes out for his title defense against a mystery opponent. Joe calls out Santino so he can find out who his opponent is. Santino comes out and says he has someone special picked out for Hendry, but then Ryan Nemeth interrupts. Ryan is dressed to compete and he says his big brother hates Joe just as much as he does. Ryan says that’s why his big brother granted him the contractually obligated rematch, and he tells Santino he’s taking the match right now.
#6: TNA World Champion Joe Hendry pinned Ryan Nemeth to retain with the Standing Ovation (0:19)
Santino apologizes and says that wasn’t Joe’s opponent. Santino then brings out Hendry’s real opponent – the returning Hammerstone!
#7: TNA World Champion Joe Hendry pinned Hammerstone to retain with the Standing Ovation (15:01)
The System and The Colons jump Hendry after the match but The Hardys, Elijah, and Leon Slater make the save. It’s a huge brawl in the ring to end the show.
