Rhea Ripley Versus Liv Morgan (Women’s World Champion) For The Women’s World Championship: This match has been highly anticipated for months now, and it was the better matches of the night. The story here was Ripley consistently having to pop her injured shoulder back into place in order to continue the fight against Morgan. Morgan would target the shoulder throughout the match, but Ripley continued to overpower Morgan and throw her all over the ring. Despite the pain in her shoulder, Ripley struck Morgan with the Riptide before grabbing a steel chair and preparing to blast her with it. “Dirty” Dominik Mysterio preserved Ripley from being disqualified by getting onto the apron, grabbing the chair away from her, and reminding her that she could not capture the title that way. Morgan heeded benefit of the diversion by striking Ripley with Oblivion, but Ripely was able to kick out. Mysterio preoccupied the referee by placing a steel chair in the ring. Moments later, Morgan delivered another Oblivion on the steel chair to keep the title. Post match, Dom went to Morgan, picked her up, and gave her a kiss on the lips, leaving Ripley heartbroken and distraught. In the end, Dom Dom didn’t want to be Rhea Ripley’s boy toy, and instead preferred to be Liv Morgan’s “Daddy” (Liv Morgan’s words not mine).
WINNER: AND STILL WOMEN’S WORLD CHAMPION, LIV MORGAN
Sami Zayn (Intercontinental Champion) Versus Bron Breakker For The Intercontinental Championship: This match was awesome in the way in which it presented Bron Breakker. Breakker was relentless against Zayn, punishing him for a good portion of this match, which was not a long match surprisingly. As Breakker was setting up for the spear, Zayn moved out of the way, causing Breakker to collide with the ring post shoulder-first. Breakker battled through the agony, but Zayn delivered a Blue Thunder Bomb and an exploder suplex. As Zayn attempted the Helluva Kick, Breakker hit him with the Spear before combining with the subsequent major Spear to win the Intercontinental Championship and break onto the scene.
WINNER: AND NEW INTERCONTINENTAL CHAMPION, BRON BREAKKER
LA Knight Versus Logan Paul (United States Champion) For The United States Championship: This was LA Knight’s Knight, no pun intended. After over a year of fighting some of the top talent in WWE and teaming with some of the best in the business, LA Knight finally won championship gold in the United States title. The match started off with Paul performing a massive springboard moonsault from the ring to the outside, impressing the audience with his freakish athletic ability. Knight amazed as well, hitting a massive fisherman’s suplex Mr Perfect style and practically almost won the match in an incredible display. Frustrated with Paul’s goons in the front crowd talking trash, Knight dragged Paul’s friends over the barricade and crushed them before Paul flung Knight into the LED ring post. After MGK handed Paul his brass knuckles, Paul lambasted Knight with the instrument before preparing for a springboard somersault clothesline (“Hangman” Adam Page’s move). Just as Paul was about to finish Knight off for good, Knight opposed with the BFT and scored the pinfall to win the match.
WINNER: AND NEW UNITED STATES CHAMPION, LA KNIGHT, YEAH
Bayley (WWE Women’s Champion) Versus Nia Jax (QOTR) For The WWE Women’s Championship: Bayley and Jax gave it all they had in this title match, but only one of them came out on top. Bayley executed a massive Bayley-to-Belly, and Jax responded with an Annihilator, but both survived the catastrophic moves. To add on top of that, Bayley was the first person to kick out of the Annihilator, leaving the Jax frustrated. In an incredible instance, Bayley used all of her physical power to lift Jax halfway across the ring before dropping her with a powerbomb. Bayley straight away followed up with the Flying Elbow, but Jax kicked out again. With both competitors worn out Miss MITB Tiffany Stratton dashed down to the ring, ostensibly seeking to cash in her contract. Bayley scorned Stratton with a right hand as she jumped onto the apron, but the distraction allowed Jax to hit two Annihilators and win the WWE Women’s Championship.
WINNER: AND NEW WWE WOMEN’S CHAMPION, NIA JAX (QOTR)
CM Punk Versus Drew McIntyre With Seth “Freakin” Rollins As The Special Guest Referee: This match has been building for many months, ever since Punk got injured in the Royal Rumble, and it delivered. Punk and McIntyre started off with punches to each other simultaneously. When the fight spilled to ringside, McIntyre delivered the first big blow, striking a catapult and sending Punk throat-first into the steel levels beneath the ring. McIntyre continued the attack by delivering multiple powerbombs prior to introducing a steel chair into the ring. Rollins obtained the weapon from McIntyre right as he was getting ready to use it. Rollins attempted to hit McIntyre with the steel chair, but he ducked. Fortunately, Rollins paused himself ahead of connecting with Punk. As Rollins took away the chair, Punk fruit rolled up McIntyre, but Rollins took his time to count, which enabled McIntyre to kick out. As Punk was about to hit McIntyre with the GTS, he noticed Rollins had his bracelet on his wrist. McIntyre used the conflict to hit Punk into Rollins. Punk’s GTS attempt was effective, but Rollins took too long to count, permitting McIntyre to kick out again. Punk grew angry at Rollins, and the two engaged in a verbal exchange that culminated with Punk’s GTS to Rollins. With Rollins out of the picture, McIntyre kicked Punk below the belt with a low blow, payback for what happened at CATC, before delivering the Claymore. Rollins then resentfully counted three, leaving McIntyre victorious.
WINNER: DREW MCINTYRE
Damian Priest (World Heavyweight Champion) Versus Gunther (KOTR) For The World Heavyweight Championship: This was a hard hitting world title match, as it should be. Gunther’s chest was bleeding, and Priest was purely exhausted as the battle between the two men continued. Priest attacked and attacked, leaving Gunther’s chest bloodied after hitting him with chop after chop. As Gunther appeared to have Priest knocked out, Finn Balor arrived through the crowd to reassure his Judgment Day brethren, but Gunther quickly kicked him across the face via the ropes. Gunther’s wounded chest gave him the appearance of a warrior as he talked trash to Priest and went on to beat him. Priest eventually discovered his next gear, mobilizing to attack Gunther with the Razor’s Edge and South of Heaven Chokeslam. Priest had Gunther beat, but Balor shocked the world by putting Gunther’s foot on the ring ropes to break the three-count. Priest saw this on the replay and was infuriated, going after Balor before Gunther applied two sleeper holds and a powerbomb to Priest to win the fight.
WINNER: AND NEW WORLD HEAVYWEIGHT CHAMPION, GUNTHER
Cody Rhodes (WWE Champion) Versus Solo Sikoa In A Bloodline Rules Match For The WWE Championship: With the odds stacked against him, Cody Rhodes had to overcome this new Bloodline in any way he could, even if he needed help from his former enemies in the process. Sikoa took it to Rhodes for a good part of the main event fight, talking trash to him as well. Rhodes was able to fight back, hitting Sikoa with a Disaster Kick and a Cody Cutter. Rhodes then went for a Cross Rhodes to end the match, Tama Tonga and Tonga Loa showed up to try to help Sikoa win the championship. With Rhodes out, Kevin Owens and Randy Orton went into the fight, eliminating Loa and Tonga as they battled their way to the in the background region. Rhodes utilized the ring steps on Sikoa, but Sikoa eventually caught him with a massive Spear for a lengthy two-count. As Rhodes battled back, he was preparing for the third Cross Rhodes when Jacob Fatu attacked him. Fatu landed an enormous frog splash on Rhodes through the announce table, and Sikoa followed with another massive splash, but Rhodes kicked out again, channeling his inner John Cena Never Give Up Mentality. Rhodes was then able to hit Sikoa with a Super Cody Cutter, leaving both men incapacitated. As both men were down, ROMAN REIGNS made his triumphant return to WWE, dawning a shirt that simply read OTC (Original Tribal Chief). Reigns got into the ring and Super Man Punched Sikoa, before destroying him with a Spear. Rhodes capitalized and hit Sikoa with a Cross Rhodes to win the match.
WINNER: AND STILL WWE CHAMPION, CODY RHODES
