AEW DYNAMITE Report from 4th September 2024

Daniel Garcia and MJF Segment
Daniel Garcia says patience is a virtue but he’s not feeling virtuous and wants MJF right now. MJF interrupts him sat in an area in the crowd surrounded by security and he threatens and insults Garcia, Garcia responds with insults of his own which visibly get to MJF; MJF tries to interrupt threatening Garcia again but he quickly cuts him off. Garcia refers to what he said to MJF last week about wanting him to suffer and the ones he loves to suffer. He hopes MJF gets a woman that will pretend to care about him for over a year, they get married, get a house, have children but he wants MJF to know that every time he picks up his ugly baby there will be a tingle from his neck to his spine and he’ll think of Daniel Garcia, when his kid asks if he was a wrestler and he tells the kid he was until Daniel Garcia ended his career. MJF applauds Garcia. MJF responds by saying Garcia has so much to learn and so much maturing to do, he claims when he cost Garcia against Will Ospreay and took out him out, he was trying to do him a solid. He refers to when the fans used to love him then they turned on him and the more Garcia rises up the more the fans will want him to fall. So he’s going to do Garcia a favour, this Saturday he’s going to make sure the fans don’t hurt Garcia like they hurt him and he’ll do that by putting him in a wheelchair and his mother can take care of him, he then insults Garcia’s mother and Garcia runs into the crowd towards where MJF is, he takes out every member of security in the way and as he gets to MJF, MJF blasts him in the head with a glass bottle. MJF puts Garcia in a sitting up position and Garcia is bleeding, MJF says to Garcia you must go through hell to get to paradise and at All Out he’s sending him straight to paradise before kissing Garcia’s bloody head and leaving.

 

Kazuchika Okada vs Kyle Fletcher
Continental Championship Match
Both men on the outside, Kazuchika Okada throws Kyle Fletcher over the barricade into the audience and tries to do a dragging ddt onto the floor but Fletcher escapes and hits a brainbuster over the top of the barricade sending Okada into the crowd, using a chair Fletcher jumps over the barricade into Okada, he brings Okada back to the ring does a scoopslam, goes to the top rope, hits a elbowdrop, he mocks Okada, as Okada starts to get back to his feet using the ropes Fletcher hits a kick to the back of the neck then picks him up for a piledriver, Okada escapes. Okada backslides Fletcher, keeping hold of his wrist Okada hits a lariet, then another, Fletcher ducks the rainmaker, bounces off the ropes but Okada drops him with a standing dropkick, Okada attempts the rainmaker again but Fletcher blocks, they trade strikes and avoid eachothers offence. Fletcher gets the upper hand with a half and half suplex, he’s gets Okada up and drops him, he goes for the cover but a kick out. Fletcher attempts to go to the top twice but stops both times because Okada was too far away first time and put the referee in front of him the second. Okada then pushes Fletcher into the referee and as he turns around with the ref distracted Okada kicks him below the belt, hits the rainmaker and gets the win retaining the Continental Championship.

Jamie Hayter vs Robyn Renegade
Jamie Hayter takes out Robyn Renegade with a big boot, Renegade rolls under the ropes onto the apron, Hayter follows suit but as she goes to grab Renegade she’s kicked in the head, kneed in the chest then using the ropes Renegade stomps on the back of Hayter’s head. Renegade makes her way to the top rope for a attempted crossbody but Hayter reverses it into a powerslam, she picks Renegade up for three backbreakers, she follows that up with a hayterade. Goes for the cover, gets the 123 to win the match.
Winner: Jamie Hayter

 

Jon Moxley w/ Marina Shafir Segment
Jon Moxley talks about facing Darby Allin in the past and compliments Darby on his mindset towards wrestling. He calls him out says he just wants to talk. Then they leave.

 

Mariah May vs Nyla Rose
Women’s World Championship
Nyla Rose has the advantage she sets up for beast bomb but Mariah May grabs onto the top turnbuckle and escapes. Mariah attempts a crossbody but Nyla rolls through picking up Mariah and drops Mariah with a powerslam but Mariah rolls out of the ring, in the meantime Nyla goes out onto the apron then onto the steps waiting for Mariah to return to her feet however Mariah grabs onto the referees shoe while getting up then with a sudden burst of energy sweeps Nyla’s feet and she lands chest first on the steps. Mariah hits a running knee to the face of Nyla, Mariah returns to the ring telling the ref to count, the count gets to 9 and Nyla barely makes the count. Ashley Nyla is getting up Mariah goes for and hits storm zero and gets the win retaining her women’s world championship.
Winner: Mariah May

 

Mercedes Mone w/ Kamille Segement
Mercedes Mone says she’s feeling a certain way after defending her new Japan strong women’s championship at Capitol Collision this past Friday and someone is feeling a certain way after her big win last Saturday but how can Shida call herself the ace when she’s not the face of tbs. She’s two belts Mone and this Saturday at All Out Shida will learn just like the rest of the women’s divison that there’s a price to pay when you mess with Mercedes Mone. Hikaru Shida interrupts from the screen, Shida proclaims Mone was one katana away from there being a new tbs champion, then while untying her tie and ripping her shirt Shida says Mone knows she can’t beat the ace. Shida then brings in Christopher Daniels who bans Kamille from ringside for the match at All Out. Mone is visibly unhappy about this decision.

 

Pac and Blackpool Combat Club vs Will Ospreay and The Conglomeration
Bryan Danielson on commentary
Orange Cassidy has the upper hand for his team sending Claudio Castagnoli to the outside of the ring with a hurricanrana, Cassidy follows that up with a suicide dive, Wheeler Yuta then hits a suicide dive of his own onto Cassidy, Kyle O’Reilly takes out Yuta with a running knee from the apron, Pac drops O’Reilly with a dive over the top rope which is followed by a crossbody over the top rope from Will Ospreay to Pac. Ospreay keeps beating on Pac going up the ramp, Yuta tries to intercept but eats a superkick, Ospreay has Yuta set up for the hidden blade but Pac stops him attempting a reverse hurricanrana but Ospreay shoves Pac off his shoulders and superkicks him which sends him rolling off the ramp to the floor, Ospreay then front flips off the ramp onto Pac. Back to the ring and Cassidy makes his way to the top rope with a dazed Castagnoli in the ring he hits a tornado ddt, Cassidy looks for the orange punch but Castagnoli avoids, Cassidy comes off the ropes looking for another tornado ddt but Castagnoli stops it, he gets Cassidy up for a suplex but he reverses it into a stundog millionaire followed up with a kick to the back of the head and elbow strikes from O’Reilly. Cassidy hits beach break and goes for the cover but Castagnoli kicks out at 2. Cassidy makes the tag to O’Reilly they both do round kicks to a Castagnoli who’s on his knees in the centre of the ring, O’Reilly gets Castagnoli up as Cassidy sets up for the Orange punch, Yuta grabs Cassidy’s foot, Castagnoli European uppercuts Cassidy in the corner, O’Reilly ducks a clothesline from Castagnoli, boots Yuta off the apron then puts Castagnoli in a hanging guillotine, in an attempt to escape the submission Castagnoli slams O’Reilly to the mat but he holds on and wraps his legs around him, Castagnoli gets back to his feet and runs into the turnbuckle but O’Reilly still holds on. Castagnoli repositions O’Reilly and escapes the submission, he then throws O’Reilly up in the air and drops him a uppercut, he follows that up with a swing. Yuta hits the punctuation mark, Castagnoli goes for the cover and get the win.
Winners: Pac and Blackpool Combat Club

After the match The Elite attack the Blackpool Combat Club. Young Bucks hold Bryan Danielson on his knees and Jack Perry goes to sit Danielson with a chair but Castagnoli stops him. The two teams continue to brawl. Blackpool Combat Club get the upper hand, Danielson has Perry set up to kick his head in but the Bucks save Perry and The Elite retreat. Castagnoli grabs a mic and he tells The Elite they made the biggest mistake of there lives, Castagnoli challenge the Young Bucks to a tag title match at All Out. Danielson gets the mic and says Perry will get his head kicked in.

 

‘Hangman’ Adam Page and Swerve Strickland contract signing for steel cage match at All Out
Swerve makes his entrance but Hangman doesn’t come out when he music plays.
On the screen Hangman goes to Swerve’s newly bought childhood house. Hangman says how there’s no point putting his signature on a piece of paper for a match they both know is definitely going to happen, he mentions Swerve having a fiancé that left him, his kids, and how slipped up showing the world and Hangman something Swerve loves, his childhood house.
Hangman says he can imagine how Swerve’s mother and father lived and assumed his father didn’t love him and how the world would be a better place if Swerve was never born. It’s then shown that Hangman is throwing petrol (or gas) around the house. Hangman talks about the confrontation last week and what Swerve said to him, he reminds Swerve that for months he’s been saying how he wants to burn his world down. He says how he wanted to be the one who took the world title from Swerve but he was happy with helping having it slip through his fingers and this Saturday inside a Steel Cage he will take Swerve’s dignity and pride as he will be begging and pleading for mercy and forgiveness and he won’t give it to him. Hangman tells Swerve to say his goodbyes to the world championship, the idea of winning it again, his health, his career, his enjoy and his happiness as tonight he gets some practice as he will get to say goodbye to Swerve’s house. He then proceeds to light Swerve’s childhood house on fire. Swerve Strickland is absolutely distraught in the ring which quickly turns to visible rage.
